There is no denying that culture is central at all times to the effectiveness of a Health Board. As the challenges facing BCUHB have become more apparent, we have become champions of change to make the difference in enhancing the care we provide to our patients. Culture is the route map to a sustainable future, and although there is much progress still to make, we are well on our way to being able to say with confidence that BCUHB is becoming a patient-centred organisation.
There are many examples of wonderful care throughout BCUHB that can be spoken of daily.
These efforts are not half-hearted or nice to have; they are integral to a healthy, successful Health Board. They are a marker of the quality of our staff - their ongoing commitment and dedication, positive attitude and good leadership.
