Putting the 'fun' in fundraising

Our NHS charity, Awyr Las (which means Blue Sky in Welsh), makes a real difference to patients and their families across North Wales. Since 2010, thanks to the incredible support of people throughout the region, the charity has been able to spend over £20 million to enhance healthcare services across the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board, including over £5m to fund the latest state-of-the-art medical equipment, £3m on ward refurbishments and improved facilities, and more than £3m for additional staff training, enabling Betsi Health Board staff to deliver the very best care that the people of North Wales deserve.

Awyr Las fundraising such as the annual ‘Betsi’s Got Talent’ competitions, inter ward and departmental bed races, and the charity’s LifeCycle bike rides, give Betsi Health Board staff a fantastic opportunity to come together and socialise outside of work.
