Versus Arthritis is the UK's largest charity dedicated to supporting people with arthritis. So far, only 14 healthcare professionals have been appointed as MSK Champions to complete their prestigious leadership course at Hult (Ashridge) International Business School.
Anna, who leads a team of first contact clinical specialist physios working in GP practices across Wrexham and Flintshire, was delighted to have been appointed.
Anna said: “I’m really pleased to have been appointed as this programme supports some very important work to improve the lives of people affected by musculoskeletal conditions. It supports each champion to develop leadership skills and systemic perspective to go on to achieve improvements in care for people with MSK conditions.
“My health improvement project is looking at the improvement and simplification of the musculoskeletal pathway from primary care to secondary care.”
The programme works with each individual who understands their local environment, population needs and health system, and supports them to drive improvements in MSK care in both a local and national context.
Throughout the programme the MSK champions develop and implement their own service improvement project tailored to the needs of their local area. There are 17.8 million people living with the MSK conditions in the UK.
